[DML] Re: test drive-is this 'normal' for deloreans?!?!

I'd say there are some issues with that car.  My D (1981) is more comfortable than most full-sized cars I've owned to ride in.  Pedal controls are smooth and easy to manage and the only fatigue I ever experience is the same I get with any car on long trips (without a cruise control), which is cramping of the muscles around the ankle from accellerator position maintenance.

Sterring is non-power, rack and pinion so it should be smooth but a little stiff.  Steering response is almost too fast, seeming to anticipate your intentions even before you turn the wheel, at high speeds.  Sounds like your test vehicle has some suspension issues and perhaps some pedal axle/support shaft (clutch and brake pedals are on the same basic shaft) issues.  

What with the things these cars have been through over the past 25 years, there are many elements that can come into play.  Don't base your opinion of "D"'s on that one ride.
