Here is the "proof" that DMC-H owns a "version" of the DMC Logo.

If they don't actively pursue or license the small vendors, a large company
could use the logo for anything they wanted (DeLorean or otherwise). There
are limitations to what they can enforce, but it would take lawyers and $$$
for DMC-H or others to sort that out, so it is easier for DMC-H to be on the
conservative side and pursue all perceived violations of their trade/service
mark.

 

Note that this one is "dead"
