Look at it this way - the sleeve is about 1/2 the cost of replacing
the whole drive flange, and being stainless will never pit like the
flange did.
Rather than a 1-1/2 socket, an inch or two of 1-1/2(?) PVC pipe works
pretty good too. It should not be that hard to get the seal in place,
the hard part (as you found) is getting it in straight!
