Nathan. If you don't already have one, you need a pin punch. The tough
part is getting one that is long enough in the right size. I have a Craftsman
set that gets the pin about 3/4 of the way though, then I need to use a
phillips screwdriver for the last couple of hits. Make sure you are banging the
pin out from the bottom and straight up. As the pin slides out with each hit,
make sure the pin will not get stuck in the castleated (sp?) part. If you
get it lodged inside there, it will be very difficult to get out. I'm telling
you this from experience! It's not necessary to replace the pin after it is
removed unless you damaged it. A new one is harder to drive in than the old
one was to get out!

Hello everyone,
I finally decided to fix my leaky tranny seals however the roll pin on
the drivers side will not budge. I am afraid that if I keep banging on
it I will damage the tranny internals. Is there a particular way the
pin is supposed to come out? Can it be punched from either side?
