Pretty sure.  I went back and tried lots of places, and it seems to  
really be the stainless.  However, here is a strange one:

I noticed that the effect, although subtle everywhere, is much  
stronger at places where the steel has been bent at a sharp angle. I  
tried edges all over the car, many of which appear to be nowhere near  
anything ferrous. The sharper the bend, the stronger the  
attraction!   The edges of the wheel wells on the fenders and the  
door edges (which are completely folded back on themselves) are  
strong enough for the magnet to (barely) stick.  Any physicists out  
there have an explanation for that one?

P.S. -- If I were reading this, I wouldn't believe it.  Anybody else  
have a super-magnet who could confirm my experiment?
