John, Please don't take it as criticism of your product. I just prefer not to have the light on unless it is a failure. I look at the lights as "idiot lights" and feel I should not see them unless something is wrong. I lock my doors just to not see the door light on. I have to live with the defrost light but I don't use it very often. I do like the idea of using the lower amp fans, and that may be an option but I will still have to purchase relays or some sort of fix to replace the Fanzilla.

Steve, I understand the are several choices out there but just because it's
sold by one vendor doesn't make it better. I have listened for 4 or 5 years
about how the Fan Zilla doesn't fail, but it fails more often than you
think.
If you really want to get ride of all the Fan Fails or Fan Fixes, then buy
the new fans that only draw 11 amps instead if 30 and you won't need any
fixes. Your car will love them.
The light coming on has more features that you may not thing of.
#1. It can tell you how many times the AC compressor is cycling since you
can see the light coming on and off and will be able to adjust it to your
taste.
#2. You will be able to tell if the fans are getting power and are coming on
and the otterstat is cycling.

Thanks, I looked at it but I like my fan fail light working as designed.
Your system looked good but the light stays on and becomes a fan operating
light. I would rather it work the other way around. Quite honestly the PO
had a considerable amount of work done at P.J. Grady and I am going to see
what he recommends as a fix. The Joe Cool system looked very interesting
also and seems to work like the Zilla. It's a shame we can't get the Zilla
products anymore. When I last spoke to Bob Zilla when he was down in Florida
in April of 2005 he said that he was working on a factory. Has anyone heard
anything new?
