I have not either, and I am using the same one on my car with no
particular complaint, but I don't believe that SAAB did any testing of
a 50/50 master cylinder in a rear-engine DeLorean with off-the-shelf
Girling brakes. In terms of the cars' weight distribution and caliper
design there is little similarity between the two cars.
Front/rear brake balance requirements can be influenced by a number of
issues, including disc rotor/pad size, wheel piston size, front/rear
weight balance of the car, tire size, etc. If the engineers at DMC
(Lotus) specified an oddball F/R balance it was because their
engineering math came out that way based on the components they are
using. Their design alternative would have been to add a proportioning
valve, but specifying a certain master cylinder and avoiding the extra
valve was certainly cheaper.
