I actually spoke to George,  He is from PA and is planning to have a showing later this year in NJ where the painting of the Delorean will be one of the works shown, as well as be at the Radnor Hunt Concours in Sept.  He has some very nice work if you check out hi site, for those interested, other than the Delorean.  Only 50 of the Delorean Prints will be made according to the artist and will be Giclee prints, Pencil signed, titled and numbered

Didn't know if anyone had mentioned it yet, but in the March 2006 issue of 
Hemmings Classic Car on page 72 an automotive artist named George Rothacker has a spread on different cars he has drawn. In the main picture of him, he is in 
the process of painting a Red Delorean with its doors up. Very professional
