Thank you for your reply -

In this case it was a DeLorean in storage for *many* years.  The 
fellow restored the car, but had a local shop re-upholster the 
interior, unfortunately it does not look like the original (ie 
hideous).  
In this part of the country it is very hot in the summer.  
(Brilliant thought just occured...) 
Is there a type of fabric to specify to have the original gray look?
