I bought mine from a guy in Olive Branch this past June (Nick at Cross Road 
Motors).  Nick had two D's that I knew of at the time. The one I bought 
(painted red at the time) and a stainless one.  Don't know if it's the guy 
you're talking about though. Nick said he wasn't selling the stainless one 
because he was going to rebuild it one day.  He is more tied up in the car 
racing scene for the time being.
