[DML] QAC-installed Legend twin turbos?

I met a gentleman with a pristine early '81 DMC here in Virginia and 
while discussing the car, he mentioned that it was a twin-turbo.  I 
asked which system it was and replied it was installed by the QAC and 
was "the one the company had started developing".  "The Legend system?"  
I asked and he said "Yeah.  That's the one."  Unfortunately I didn't 
have time this time to get the VIN or look at the engine.

I would normally chalk this up to excessive boasting or puffery but this 
guy is an avid car collector with at least a couple Ferraris and I 
believe a classic shoebox Chevy or two.  Any chance he was right?
