Just a comment:

My D has a 100% original cooling system, bar the expansion bottle, 
recently replaced before our trip to LeMans. In 38 degree C heat, AC on 
full, queueing up for over an hour in Arnage my car had no trouble 
keeping the temperature to the same level that it does on a cold 
miserable English day :-) I am all for more efficient fans to remove 
some of the load on a weak electrical system, but additional flow is 
(IMO) not really necessary until you start running more power and 
generating more heat
