I have always thought the same.  Obviously, this car is well suited for 
highway driving. It feels strong and pulls well through 3rd and 4th.  
But those low end ratios seem a bit tall for satisfying, in-town 
driving.  I woder what the ratios are on the Lotus transmission that 
the DeLotus has on it are and if they would feel any better.  Even 
changing out the final drive would probably make a world of 
difference.  I would bet a 4:10 ratio would feel pretty good.
