Thanks Dani, that's a good idea; some variation on it that I will use
when I put it back together: I know about how much pressure/how many
"turns" it required to unbolt the thing. So if it requires
significantly more to bolt it up, then that was my problem.
In the meantime, I am picking up a proper digital caliper tonight and
will measure the difference between the high & low sides of the
flywheel. That will tell me if the thing is shot or not.
