I'm the one who made the repair tools:

It was only a short-term fix since the fans were drawing too much current and needed to be replaced. It got me by until I had the whole cooling system updated. If your roll pins in the fans are breaking then the fans are probably on their last legs and should be replaced.
I dug back through my archives and found my photos of the 'Barris BTTF' car. VIN 02831:

For a while it belonged to one of our NCDMC members. He sold it on eBay to someone and from there it ended up in the hands of a company in S. Cal. At that point it was 'converted' into the mess it is now.
