This has happened to me - I can't say I've fixed it, but I opened it up by carefully locking it with the key and unlocking.  I can't say I've noticed it get any worse.  It happens to me when I lock the car from the inside.  I've been meaning to look and see if anyone has had this or could give some insight.

I hope this atleast opens the door!
