Sometimes you can hear the accumulator make a noise a while AFTER you
turn the car off as it de-compresses. You may also hear this if you
power up the fuel pump, cold-start, without the starter running.
It sounds like thumping a beer can. Any "running" noise you hear has
to be the fuel pump noise being carried thru the system.
