I have and have access to stainless steel braded to go over the hoses. If
you let me know which hoses, I can get it.

I agree - you can get that stuff at most speed-shops. I had a
braided mesh over the hose under the intake for some 15 years but
went with Grady's silicone hose at this year's tune-up and WP
replacement. It is probably better than a metal mesh.
