Matt,

High temperature paint is not required for painting the surfaces you
mentioned EXCEPT if you happen to be running a turbo setup. With
turbo applications, you may want to use high temperature paint on
areas that are in close proximity to the turbo(s) and exhaust.

Otherwise, I have always had the best results using Krylon semi-flat
black paint for the areas you mentioned, as well as the louvers.
Keep in mind that your paint job will only be as good as the prep
work you do on the surfaces to be painted and masking off the areas
you do not intend to paint. Make sure to have all oil, grease, etc.
removed, which is not always easy in the engine compartment.

Try to paint with low humidity and between 65 and 85 degrees, use at
least 2 coats and let eaxch dry at least 2 hours for best results.
