This statement in the auction really got me curious:

"Originally Thiokol Chemical Corporation, it changed to DMC (DeLorean Motor Company) around 1983 or so. When DeLorean had troubles, it changed to LMCaround 1984 (Logan Manufacturing Company). Here's the details on this one..... "

Then I found this article explaining it all. Very interesting - I did not know this!
