Defroster switch and temp gauge

does any one have a picture of a defroster switch taken apart? I thought i
saw somewhere instructions to rebuild it but can't find it now. anyone know
of this site?

Also, after i re installed my dash i noticed that my temp gauge doesn't
work. it just points straight down... any ideas??
