If you want a true readily available alternator then hop on down to 
your auto parts store and pick up a Delco alternator. You will need 
to make two small modifications to the Delorean. One you will be 
splicing a new "pigtail" harness to the Delorean harness and IMHO 
it's alot better then the one the Delorean one has now. The second 
is you will need to make a modification to the mounting bracket that 
is bolted to the passenger side Head of the engine. After doing this 
you'll never need to worry about your alternator going. If it goes 
just head down to your auto shop, plop the old on the counter, get a 
replacement and install it the very same day. If you get the other 
bolt on alternators then when it goes you'll be removing it..sending 
it out to be rebuilt and waiting a few days to get it back...that 
would suck if you were out of town. If you're interested I have full 
instructions with pictures and the model number of the alternator 
available. Email me privately and I'll send all the info.
