NO START ... update.. still need help! :)

Well .. here is the update ..

First off .. thanks to all for your help so far! :-)

I have found I mixed up some of the vacuum lines and corrected the
problem

Now the car starts .

BUT!! And a big but

I double checked the timing. and its fine.

It will run . but really rough . I adjusted the 3mm hex in the mixture
control unit

Tried advancing and retarding the timing..

And can get it to idle around 2000 rpm

Anything lower and it cuts out

As well.. it seems to be running real rich . as the exhause pipes from
the engine to the cat are getting RED HOT!! Glowing!

Suggestions?!
