I'm no huge expert but my car's calipers were jammed when it arrived. I COULD move the
calipers but only by pumping the pedal hard and in rapid succession. I suggest you try
this yourself (this is with the bleed nipple closed). Once the pots were out, I put a
little bit of lubricating oil around the pots and levered them back in. They've worked
fine ever since.
I suggest with the new parts/seals etc, the pots may be a little "dry".
You should ask James Russel-Grant about the magic tool he created to sort his brakes out.
I believe he welded a drilled-out bleed nipple to a tyre valve, and using a foot pump,
was able to pop the calipers open, lube them up and reassemble. www.dmc12.co.uk
