Do you courtesy lights work? You wouldn't happen
to have a switch (like the battery saver from DMC Joe)
or a blown or removed #12 fuse?
If this is the case, put the power back onto the circuit
and your "door ajar"light will stay off.

This is a very common occurence, it came up several 
times in the past year or so, look in the archives.
