Yes, apparently so. That is how I replaced my vent. While I had my plastic
duct out, I wrapped the neck with peel & stick foam insulation so that it
would seal at the door panel instead of cool the inside of my door. Then I
replaced the foam that surrounds the vent because the original had turned to
powder.
