My climate control panel is getting hot...

Hey folks. I'm still a Delorean newbie, so forgive me if this is a dumb
question...

Today was the first time I drove my Delorean in the rain (and discovered
my door seals leak!). The windshield was fogging pretty badly so I put
the climate control knob on defrost and turned the fan up to 4.

The fog eventually cleared, but I noticed that even though the thermostat
was set on its coldest setting, the air blowing across the windshield was
pretty warm. When I got home, I found that the entire climate control
panel was very warm. Is this normal climate control behavior when the AC
compressor is off? If not, anyone got any ideas what might be wrong?
