Walt and others....
As a side project to go along with the backlit instrument cluster, I
am hoping to create a new AC panel (both plastic panel and decal)
which will be of much higher quality than the original unit. Also,
the decal for this panel with be of the late 81 style, which in my
opinion is much better looking than the early ones or the currently
availible replacements. This will be illuminated by LEDs in a similar
manner as mentioned by someone on this list a while back. PLUS, it
will also be compatible with a new dimmer switch to be used for the
backlit instrument cluster, so they both will illuminate evenly.
A few more items which are in the works, are clear inserts for the
control knobs on the AC panel (so you can see what your selecting at
night) and new decals for the headlight and hazard buttons which WILL
NOT fade when pushed on.
Look for all of this to shortly follow the release the backlit
instument cluster which will hopefully be availible twords the end of
this year (but dont hold me to that). (And there may even be a sneak
peek at Memphis).
If anybody has questions about any of these items, please email me
directly at ultra(at)isd.net
