I had that same problem on my DeLorean. To fix it, I took off the lenses, went into
my work's prototyping paint lab, mixed up some translucent orange paint and shot it
quickly with a professional paint gun. Very tricky, in that you have to use just the
right amount of thinner to make the paint translucent. The wrong proportions will either
give you a bad "fish eye" effect, or it won't be clear enough. I'll have to look at my
mixture again to give you figures on those proportions though.
I tried a few other things, like generic model paint and even markers, but those
weren't permanent solutions. So far the orange has lasted through a year of meticulous
car washes and even "armor-all-zation" without showing any signs of aging. You can see
