Factory Clock questions

I've had several people ask me about the repair on the factory clock.
I guess these were sort of rare and they stopped putting them in 
sometime late 1981?? (Anybody got more info on this?)

Anyhow, I placed two pictures in the "PHOTOS" section of this eGroup.
