Go to the Vault, I added a picture of a custom made box I had done for my
car. It holds 2 12 inch subs and 2 6x9 speakers as well. I do not remember
my address as I am out of the office, but it is under something like "custom
speaker box"

I am in the process of puting a subwoofer in my DMC. For my
speakers, instead of cutting the back panel I took two premade speaker
boxes and cut them down to 3.5 inches, they are the right angle and
color. I then screwed them to the back panel, they look and sound
great and fit below the upper lip.
As far as a subwoofer goes it has to be in a box that meets the specs
for air space. I am building another box to mount my sub that will
meet these requirements and fit between my other speakers. I may be
wrong but I think that any subwoofer mounted in the back panel will
not perform properly from what I have been told by the audio pros.
