You can run pure Antifreeze but you will give up cooling performance. Water
has a lower flow viscosity, better heat transfer characteristics as well
(and most important) better heat capacity. What this means is that a given
volume will transfer more total heat. The DeLorean is somewhat sensitive to
this issue because of the long plumbing runs. It takes the coolant longer
to make a lap around the system so every lap counts. Diluting the
Antifreeze to ~50/50 gives the best compromise between heat transfer
characteristics and extended temperature range/ system protection
characteristics. Best to add distilled water (Reverse Osmosis drinking
water will do in a pinch).
