Well tonight I finally took my fuel sending unit apart, thanks to 
James for the pics and instructions. I am happy to say I have a fully 
functional unit once again. Most of the wires and parts in it seem to 
be gold plated? Mine broke from the result of a week solder joint. 
Cost to fix...$.00. I am going to be posting pics and instructions on 
my website sometime this week in case anyone else is interested in 
doing the same.
