Darryl's Fun Per Dollar ratio is a great idea. We go to a few local car
shows....and enter our car for fun. ....sit in our lawn chairs across the
sidewalk and observe....what a kick.....we decided to count people looking
at our DeLorean versus some Really well done Vettes nearby. At one show,
the record was 21 around and actually looking at the D, when there would be
2 or 3 looking at the Vettes......and we decided we should count ONLY the
ones facing the car and not those that had already looked at it and turned
to talk to someone else! When the crowd dwindled down to 10 or 12, I
popped the doors and trunk and engine hood and they REALLY moved in then!
They DO draw a crowd....Fun Fun. These car shows are in small towns running
a few blocks down main street which has been cleared off...most run about
350 cars......we enter the "Original, Unrestored" category, where there are
usually between 50 and 75 competing......we have never won less than third
place and several first place trophys. We have never seen another DeLorean
though!!
