I have an Optima battery in my DMC - have had it for nearly 4 years. It
is, however, no longer unique. Exide has apparently bought rights to
manufacture a similar battery - gel cell, fully sealed, both top and side
posts on the same battery, etc. Moreover, Exide makes the NAPA batteries
and they also offer the "Optima" style/type battery. The NAPA price is
about $30 less than the Optima.
Not a plug - just information for those who might be interested.
