Dave:
The Cruise on my car (on it when I bought it) is attached on the engine bay, 
driver's side. Wiring heads forward to front of car and control cable is 
routed along engine bay to back and comes in from the back. I have not 
examined it that closely, but when I did look at it, I don't remember 
thinking that it could jam in any way. I don't think I have any pictures 
showing this set-up, but I will check my "stack" of DeLorean pictures to 
see.
