On the subject of running out of fuel it is also common that even with 
some fuel in the tank to "run out". There have been many cases where 
the baffles are missing or incorrectly installed or the pickup hose is 
kinked or cut. If you have chronic fuel problems nothing can beat 
going into the fuel tank and inspecting for dirt, missing or bad 
parts, or an improperly positioned fuel pump. It is very easy on 
assemble to turn the pump and kink the pickup hose. I recomend that a 
spring be installed in the "s" pickup hose. Most fuel system problems 
begin in the tank.
