Jim,

In the event of a collision there is a good possibility that the engine will
continue running therefore the inertia switch would be the first line of
defense in the event of an engine feed fire. The inertia switch will also
*unlock the doors to allow emergency personal to enter the vehicle.

At $61.82 I would suggest you put this safety item near the top of your list
of items to install in your DeLorean.

*providing that the power door lock system is operational.
