Paint removal

Is it possible to remove paint from a DeLorean providing that no Bondo or
otherwise was used on the car? How much would a process like this usually
cost and is it recommended? It seems DeLoreans can be obtained at much
cheaper prices if they are painted, so I'm wondering if its worth paying
$7500 for a painted one and then removing it.
