Something to consider keeping in your "survival box" is a can of WD40. Other 
than the obvious use as a lubricant the propellant is great as a starting 
fluid. It is gentle on the engine parts due to it starting with some oil as 
well as the propellant. It also works great on small engines such as mowers.
