$65 for 2 Lbs? That's not so bad...

I think Pep-Boys still sells the 12oz cans (NOT 16 Oz) for $18 or so. 
You need the EPA permit to purchase it though.

A bit of advice when you buy R-12.. Make sure it it PURE R-12 and not
some crappy blend. Some times they blend R-12 with PROPANE which can be
deadly if you have a leak in the AC system!
