Jack stand points?

Hello DMLers!
Long story short... while we have the wheels off to be media blasted and 
powder coated, where is it correct to put the jack stands? The jack from the 
car is not even high enough for the stands anyway, but if you can get the car 
high enough, where do you put the stands (short of buying three more jacks, 
my dad is saying)? Thanks a lot!
