There is a unit that you can attach to a cd changer that allows the changer 
to broadcast a low watt (1/8 watt signal) FM. You would simply tune your 
radio to the frequency that your cd changer is broadcasting on and VOILA cd 
quality sound over the stock radio set.
This unit is great if friends are caravaning w/you because if they are w/in 
the 25 foot broadcast range you can share your music w/them.


There are some other mods that could be made to the radio by a qualified 
technician that would allow you to send the signal through the stock radio, 
but it would be prohibitivly expensive and somewhat illogical considering 
the cost to modify. Keep in mind the electronics in the radio are 18-2? 
years old, implemiting a alien digital signal into a analogue radio will not 
produce high quality results.

I have seen owners of other classic cars keep the original radio in the 
vehicle and mount the optional stereo equipment in hidden positions, such as 
mounting the head [radio/controller] unit in a glove box or under the seat. 
Depends on how much custom work you can *imagine* yourself doing.
