I measure such things carefully, and I am confident that my DeLorean
gets 27-29 mpg in 5th gear at 65 mph. My old 6.6 liter Trans Am got
13-15 mpg on the highway. The DeLorean gets about double the fuel
economy of that Trans Am! Of course I usually drive close to the speed
limits, and I shift and accellerate conservatively.
No offense, Shannon, but if your DeLorean only gets 18 mpg, then
*slightly* more aggressive is an understatement. I would classify you
as a full blown, take-no-prisoners, aggressive driver. You would have
loved my old Trans Am. It was quite the road burner.
