solution other than buying a new dash would be to get
vynal paint, supposedly it looks as good as new :)
Check your local shops that work with interior
restoration about this or call Grady. (lemme know if
you plan to go this route as im researching this
option as well.

Just a note on refinishing vinyl. I used a spray can product for auto
interiors that I purchased at KMart to change the color of a chair seat over
ten years ago. The chair has been used as a prop for hundreds of portrait
clients and the seat still looks like new. The rest of the chair has been
repainted (chipping) many times, but the vinyl still looks great. I don't
know the name of the product or if it's still available, but it sure was
durable!
