hello guys, i recently joined this group ... out of sheer interest. the
recent mails about the delorean / bttf stuff has prompt me to write
(although i do respect the reminder to cut the bttf crap.... )
well, i for one had read about the delorean and the man behind it years
ago, while still at school. it was in an article outlining the "failure"
of the man, rather than the car itself ... but surprisingly that left an
effect on me. i guess i am just one of those people who have a soft spot
for the underdogs.
anyway, having lived in malaysia and australia over the years, i have never
seen a delorean for real. but i did drive the first honda nsx to land in
sydney on the 21 jan 1991. but to me - someone very much an unintiated
delorean fan - the car has a certain kind of exoticness, unmatched by any
other make.
can someone briefly tell me some stats about the delorean: how many were
made, years of production, how much did they cost anew, and for how much
can one expect to pick one up today.
i will be travelling to los angeles over the xmas/new year break and hope
to see or even drive a real delorean. anyone willing to help ?
