This is only half the truth. SS304 stainless steel is of course the wrong material. It will not cause a radiator effect but the protection will be insufficient and not so good as from the original heat shield made from asbestos.
We use a special treated steel, originally developed for space-research. The heat protection is excellent and the shield will last forever.

Stainless didn´t work as a "Heat shield", it rather works in the wrong way as a
