[DML] Historical Status for CA?

Do any of you fellow California DMC owners know if our cars can be
registered as a 'historical vehicle', and (more importantly) not have
to be smogged? I wondered about this after reading about it in the
latest DeLorean World Mag.

I am also interested in the car's status in North Carolina since I will
be moving there soon. Any info would be helpful!
