Hi Nick,
In that case you've probably got a broken wire somewhere in your door hinge.
I had this problem with my car and I had to remove the top (T-bar) and the
inside covering of the doors to shift the problem so that the wiring does no
longer make any false contact when I open/close the door. Of course the bad
part in the harness was repaired. This was not really a big deal because the
car was completely dismantled anyway.

DMC Joe,
Before I do what you suggest I do, I wanted to see if the lights still
did what I said they did and they go on when the door is all the way on the
bottom like I said before and they also go on when the door is at its
highest
peak. So it goes out anywhere in between those two points...should I still
try what you suggested I do?
