The DeLorean cooling system is unique in the fact that the system must be
bleed of trapped air in the cooling lines in order to operate properly.
Most mechanics are not familiar with this set up. They should know how the
air bleeding procedure before servicing the car.

okay and Mike S. says that the acidity stuff is eating away at my aluminum
engine. If that were the case shouldn't my car be in D heaven by now after
18years? Again, Don didn't recommend that it be changed either. Let's say
that I take the safe road and have my local mechanic do the job for me. Is
there anything special about the D that he should know before the flush and
fill or is the system pretty generic? I'm torn between "if it ain't broke,
don't fix it" and "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Please
advise and we might all learn something once again about these mysterious
cars. Thanks again. Fil.
